TAS is now closed and ICANN is faced with a large number of applications. Between 8 June and 28 June 2012, ICANN wants to see the number of new TLDs requested and put these in order for execution. The criteria for the order of execution are 1) whether the applicant has requested an opt out or has other preferences, (2) geographical regions and the time stamp of the application (3) conflicts between identical or similar requested strings. Trademark owners are now recommended to view this list of new gTLDs. Where there are conflicts with own trademarks, there are several options on how to proceed.
