By amending the Federal Act on Electronic Signatures (ZertES), the previous qualified electronic signature in particular, which is accessible only to natural persons, is to be supplemented with the regulated electronic signature. This should also be able to be used by legal persons and authorities.
In addition to the electronic signature, secure authentication with certification services products will also be regulated by law.
Finally, whenever possible, a terminological adjustment or simplification in the regulation of the electronic signature in the numerous laws and regulations should be undertaken
The consultation will last until the end of June 2012.
